BerryNote 2 – Progress

Yes, it’s true what they say, BerryNote 2 is on the horizon. We’ve been working hard to bring to you the very best version of BerryNote yet. We’ve made a list of just some of the great upcoming features that BerryNote 2 will bring:

• Multi-Platform compatibility – BerryNote 2 will be available for Android tablets, the NOOKColor, the Kindle Fire, and the PlayBook. We are also looking into bringing it to iOS as part of a 2.5 release. Stay tuned for more on that.
• Sharing – BerryNote 2 will support sharing notes with other people. That meaning, one will be able to share a note with someone from within the app.
• More Sort Options – Now, one will be able to sort the note list by many different sort options based on their preference. You wanted this, we listened!
• Split-View – BerryNote 2 will allow users to view their note list at the same time as editing notes.
• Built on Adobe AIR 3 – We are leveraging the very latest version of the Adobe AIR technology to bring you the fastest and most efficient version of BerryNote yet.

Of course, there are many more new features than this. But we have to leave something to premier on release day!

Steve Jobs – 1955-2011

Today, the world has lost possibly one of the most innovative and brilliant minds to ever live. With a single idea, Think Different, Steve was able to change the way the world moves; the way people think; the way we live our lives. Throughout his entire life, he innovated and explored areas of technology that were never before thought of. Multi-touch wouldn’t exist today were it not for that idea; Think different. We at Vivace put this idea into play in every thing we do. Steve has forever changed our lives, and the lives of everyone who has ever seen the magic of the iPad, or anything else his mind touched. The innovation he gave to the world inspired us to pursue Vivace, and we will continue to create with him in our hearts.

We’ll miss you, Steve.

Welcome to Vivace

Hello there! You might be wondering who we are. We are Vivace. Allow us to tell you a little bit about us and what we do.

Vivace was founded recently by a dynamic duo of teenaged programmers in Maine: Katharina Ertman and Arthur Lockman. We set out on a very simple mission: to make useful and beautiful apps for all platforms that would help people do whatever it is they do, better.

When we started thinking about making an app long ago, we never expected it to progress past one app, on one platform, doing one simple thing just for fun. We never thought we’d come to where we are now: making and designing apps that target all platforms. We never expected that. But as we started to look at some of our ideas in the bigger picture, we realized that maybe we had a little more than just a simple app. Maybe we could publish a whole host of apps. That’s our plan.

We develop our apps using the Adobe Flash® platform. Hearing this now, please don’t let this be a turn-off for you. Sure, there has been lot of bad publicity surrounding Flash® lately. However, that does not mean that Flash® cannot provide an excellent native experience on any platform we choose to put our efforts into. Chances are, once we’re done with our first iPad app, you won’t even know it’s Flash®.

Currently we only have one app, BerryNote. We developed BerryNote to fill a very specific gap on the BlackBerry® tablet platform, that being the lack of a Simplenote® client. We have the first and only, and we are proud of it. We plan to also branch out and release BerryNote for Android tablets and iPad.

We hope, in building our apps, we can help make your daily life more productive, easy, and fun. Please enjoy our apps and don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or comments you may have!
